We found this place while driving along in our new neighborhood trying to find somewhere to eat that looked good to both of us. We saw the word chili and we had to turn around so we could go back and take a look. This Chili restaurant makes the best chili I have ever tasted in my life. This is comparing my mother's, grandmother's, step-mother's, and Mother-in-law's chili and various other restaurants and food trucks. I ordered a chili dog with cheese, onions, and sour cream with a side of chili cheese fries. They served our food in a classic way with the food basket. There was a good amount of chili on both of my orders with the sour cream on the side. The hot dog itself was beef and cooked just right so it was warm and still juicy without a crispy outer layer. The chili is filled with a lot of spices and seasoning, a little spicy but not in an unbearable way. It was like a little kick to your taste buds to remind you that it isn't bland and watered down like others do. It looked like there was beef, beans, and tomatoes and it was very thick. The inside was very spacious and it looked like the theme was like a classic diner. The main colors were red, white, and black and it's a very clean establishment. It looked very family friendly because they had children's books and small tables where your children could sit. The service is very good and they are very friendly, giving us a taste of the white chicken chili as well. Both types were very delicious and I highly recommend going here for your chili needs!

Omg!!! Where do I start? First of all the inside is so nice and homey and very clean. The staff was very friendly and fast. The chili was to die for. Idk who made the chili but they put their entire foot in it. We ordered the chili cheese fries and it was a nice portion for two people to eat for 4.77. Great prices!!! Nothing over $7. Don't pass up this gem of old Louisville.

Old Louisville chili caught my attention with the classic bright red colors. That resembled the old days when you were able to open up a restaurant that just sells something simple like hotdogs or chili and make some killer business. The place is pretty quite, the woman working the business side of things is grateful you came in and wants to make sure you enjoyed yourself. I said she runs the business side because who I believe is jerry is quite in the back making the dogs and chili. He's a bit older and he knows what he's doing. He knows how season like it's know ones business, he knows you want a meaty chili and he knows your going to want that side of sour cream. I ordered the chili dog and chili fries and I can't think of anyway to tell him to make it better. Jerry has it down.

Went here yesterday after I saw an article in Insider Louisville which said they have a veggie chili option (yay!) but sadly, they said it is no longer on the menu, and the girl at the counter said she didn't know why it was still even listed on the menu.  Alas, we had to leave since there were no other options for me to eat.  Was super pumped because veggie chili is so hard to find and the other reviews were so great! :(
